Nanded DCA defeated Pune DCA by an innings and 83 runs thanks to an all-round performance of Kazi Shamshuzama in the under-19 Invitational League organised by the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Nashik on Sunday.
Batting first,Nanded put up a total of 264 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 78.5 overs in their first innings. Shamshuzama top-scored with 63 runs while Akash Dhage chipped in with 47 runs .
For PDCA,Gulzar Pansare was the pick of the bowlers,scalping four wickets for 45 runs in his spell. Prasad Shelar gave him good support with three wickets of his own.
In reply,PDCA were bowled out for just 75 runs with Dhanraj Shinde top-scoring with 24 runs. For NDCA,Shaikh Shafique did most of the damage with a tight spell of five wickets for 35 runs while Kazi Shamshuzama gave him good support with three wickets of his own.
After following on,PDCA were all out 106 in 32.2 overs and lost the match by an innings and 83 runs. Dhanraj Shinde offered the lone resistance with 52 runs. Shamshuzama bowled a brilliant spell of 7/27 to help his team to victory.
