Twin Tributes

It may be the age of Bieberism,but the whiff of one mania that had held the world in thrall once,still remains. Hard Rock Cafe Pune will pay DJ-themed,musical tribute to the fabulous four who formed the legendary The Beatles on July 20. On July 16,High Spirits in Koregaon Park will see another tribute to a band that has redefined modern funk rock,Red Hot Chilli Peppers,with Mumbai musicians Bradley Tellis (vocals),Adrian D’souza (drums),Kenneth (bass) and Vinay lobo (lead guitars),leading the way.

Performance medley

The annual concert of GRM’s Academy,located on Paud road,is scheduled today,at 7pm,at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium,Kothrud. It will witness performances by close to 200 from a total of 8,000 students,marking completion of the tenth year of the academy. Students will present folk,Bollywood fusion,Latin American and hip hop forms of dances. The day has specifically been chosen to be close to Guru Purnima as 12 teachers from the academy will be performing at the event along with the students.
