Speeding vehicle runs over woman
A 67-year-old woman Zulekha Hasan Kabir Shaikh died after she was hit by an unknown speeding vehicle on Saturday afternoon near Sancheti Square. Shivajinagar police registered an offence and search for the vehicle and the driver is on. According to police,the deceased was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the street even when the signal for the vehicles had turned green. She sustained serious head injuries. Shaikh is a resident of Mahatma Gandhi vasahat in Shivajinagar. Police sub inspector S K Kengale with Shivajinagar police station is investigating
the case.
India-UK educational exchange
Anglo-International Educational Consortium (AIEC),a group of seven government colleges from UK may soon enter into partnerships with private educational institutions to increase exchange programmes between the two nations. So far Bournmouth and Pool College,Blackburn College,Yoevil College and Uxbridge College have already conmfirmed their participation for the programme.
