Maha Lok Adalat in 4 courts today
The maiden Maha Lok Adalat,which will see more than 1.5 lakh cases being put up on Sunday for amicable settlement in courts across the state,will be held in four courts in the city,where around 50,000 cases are likely to come up. The Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority is holding the Maha Lok Adalat at Shivajinagar Court; Pune District Family Court at Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan,Alka Chowk; Labour and Industrial court at PMPML building,Swargate; and Charity Commissioners office,Swargate.
Gold octroi back to 3 %
The PMC standing committee on Saturday decided to restore octroi to 3 per cent. Last year,the PMC had taken a decision to bring it to .35 per cent to encourage traders to pay octroi.
Free guidance for rly job candidates
A free camp for candidates for railway porters is being held at Kilbill High School,Janwadi by Shivmudra Pratishthan at 11 am Sunday. The recruitment is for Mumbai,Pune,Solapur,Bhusawal and Nagpur divisions. The camp will provide information on filling forms,avoiding disqualification of applications and clearing tests,said pratishthan founder Vishwas Chavan.
