Textile Play

Pause for a Cause,a popular annual exhibition of textiles,designer wear,jewellery and accessories will be held from July 17 to 19 at Sonal Hall,Karve Road,from 11 am to 7.30 pm. The exhibition is being organised by Secure Giving,in aid of Concern India Foundation. The range of products on display include designer Zahida Amin’s fine Kashmiri embroidery on tussar silk,south cotton saris and dupattas,Pochampally and ikat’s yardages and dupattas,a range of cotton and khadi with vegetable dyes from Sridevi Handlooms of Hyderabad,Needle Work Foundation’s embroidered cotton kurtas and tribal jewellery,fabric handbags and signature style tunics in flowing drapes from K Clothing. Kantha Creations from Pune will also bring in a heritage collection of quilts,saris,dupattas and bags made from traditional Maharashtrian cloth along with exclusive wall hangings made of copper.
