TC booked for ‘molesting’ passenger,third case in five years

He had been earlier booked for similar offences in April 2008 and September 2011,and also

for assaulting a colleague in July 2008.

According to the complainant,a resident of Rahatani,she had boarded the Lonavala-Pune local train from Pimpri on Wednesday afternoon and was to travel till Pune.

“Around 1.20 pm,Bhosale and another TC boarded the compartment I was travelling in and sought to see my ticket. Bhosale inspected the ticket and told me that I had boarded the wrong bogey. Immediately after,he threw the ticket out of the window. When I asked him why did he throw away the ticket,he held my hand,caressed my face and touched me inappropriately. He also

used abusive language and threatened me. After the train reached the Pune station,he dragged me to the TC room. He also slapped a fine of Rs 265 on me for travelling first class with a second class ticket,” the complainant has said in her statement.

Abhay Parmar,GRP Inspector (Pune Station),said the railway police Thursday sent a memo to the office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM),asking that Bhosale be produced at the Pune station so that the offence could be investigated.

Railway Public Relations Officer Y K Singh said appropriate action would be taken against Bhosale by the authorities as per procedure.

Bhosale has not faced any action in the three cases registered against him earlier.
