SVM launches teachers training institute

On the occasion of the 91 st birthday celebrations of spiritual head Dada J P Vaswani,the Sadhu Vaswani Mission has announced the launch of its 10th educational institution,a pre-primary teachers’ training institute – the Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Teachers’ Training. The Institute will be inaugurated at 11 am on Wednesday by Dada Vaswani.

The training programme is a one-year fulltime course,aimed at training those interested in teaching young children. The programme is a well designed one,ensuring personal and professional empowerment which is an essential component of modern teacher education,said a press release.

The subjects offered relate specifically to the understanding of different areas of child development and a professional understanding of learning theories and the role of reflection in educational and professional practice.

A number of workshops will be conducted by experts in the field to introduce new ideas and strategies in teaching young children. The course will commence in the first week of August.
