Music of the monsoon
Banyan Tree Events is hosting its ninth edition of the monsoon music festival Barkha Ritu. Puneites will experience the magic of the monsoons by the maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. He will be accompanied by Pandit Bhawani Shankar on Pakhawaj and Vijay Ghate on tabla. This evening of lilting lyrics and musical mastery will be held on July 31 at the Yeshwantrao Chavan Sabhagruha,7.30 pm onwards.
In the act
Shashi Sumeet Productions is conducting auditions for prime time TV serials on popular channels at Solaris Gym,off Karve Road. These walk-in tests will begin at 12 noon and the spotlight will be on all those who are inclined towards the ‘reel’ world,and aspiring to make a mark on the small screen. The auditions will focus on finalising male leads in the age group of 18 and 20 years,and female leads of 16-18 years.
Grandparents’ day out
The First Five Nursery School at Baner recently organised a musical party for its students and their grandparents. They sang songs,danced,and even played musical games and instruments. Also,the little girls enjoyed nail spas with their grandmothers and the day ended with a photoshoot to capture the precious memories.
