If the thought of how to keep your kids occupied during the vacations is troubling you,head to an exciting competition for kids in town. Being organised by Landmark,Get M.A.D with Rob is an exciting competition from the popular show M.A.D.(Music,Art and Dance) on POGO. The competition will take place on Saturday at the Landmark bookstore in Camp. Kids stand a chance to win M.A.D. books autographed by Rob,the host of the show,and many other delightful M.A.D. goodies! All you have to do is purchase any POGO(tm) M.A.D. merchandise from the store to get a form to participate in this on-the-spot contest. The children will get a chance to showcase their artistic skills,and the lucky winner will be picked at 4:30 pm by Rob himself.

If cyber activism is how you think you can make a difference in society,then a two-day workshop on cyber activism can be just the answer. The Centre for Communication and Development Studies (CCDS),which specialises in social change communications and manages Indias leading online resource base on social justice/development issues is organising the workshop for generating awareness,advocacy and action through the Internet. Most useful for members of NGOs,campaigns and citizens collectives,the workshop will focus on both on the technical aspects of how to create and use Internet-enabled tools as well as managing a campaign. The workshop will be conducted by journalist and activist Frederick Noronha,a leading advocate for free software/open ource,technology and computing issues in India. The workshop will cover topics such as introduction to cyber-activism,some effective case studies,campaigns via photographs,digital tools for graphic design. Participants will be instructed to develop a functioning blog on the issues they want to advocate. The workshop will be held on May 29 and 30,between 2 and 6 pm at Open Space,Kanchanjunga Bldg,Off Law College Road.
