With Guru Purnima being celebrated this Sunday,the Sadhu Vaswani Mission will be organising a string of programmes at the Mission. Beginning right at 5.30 am,the celebrations will include events like the seva at the sacred Samadhi,Havans and special prayers during the day. The youth group of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission will also present a programme titled Guru-kul. Dada Vaswani will also address the gathering in the evening live from New York.

A jazzed up tale
his maiden endeavour,Love Life and All That Jazz has met with considerably favourable reviews,and author Ahmed Faiyaz will be in the city today for a reading session of the book. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic of love,life and relationships in urban India. The panel will also feature author Deepak Dayal and will be held at the Landmark Book store at 6.30 pm.

Stage of stories
The performing arts are far more expressive,as emotions connect directly to the audience and strike a chord. Last week the students of the FLAME School of Performing Arts presented the play Work in Progress at their Lavle campus recently. This play is a result of the journey of students from recollections of their past to their expectations from the future. It was directed by the dean Prasad Vanarase,and portrayed stories drawn from real life experiences of the students. The stories ranged from a short film assignment that went haywire,a loved pet dog,the stealing of examination papers,the fear of a young child and so on and so forth.
