In wake of swine flu Poona Parsee Drameteurs have postponed their charity show Shapoorji Na Tapela Saaf at the Nehru Memorial Hall. Apart from thepostponment of the programme,the New Year dinner at the grounds of the Sardar Dastur School on the eve of Parsee New Year that falls today has also been cancelled. The decision has been taken in public interest as per the directives of the government.
Different strokes
A solo painting show by artiste Swaroop Biswas titled Unveiled Creations has been organised by Art2Day gallery. Biswas has been part of various prestigious group shows on national and international levels. Largely contemporary figurative works,beautiful fusions of traditional Bengal style influenced by Lucknow contemporaries and Deccan colour palette are his forte. A unique subjective approach to beautiful compositions,sensitive but strong lines and vibrant colour palette define his work. Starting this weekend,the show,will continue till August 25 and will be open at Art2Day Gallery,Camp between 11 am and 6 pm.
