Agua de Rosas is inspired by a Sufí parable about a stream that is convinced that it is its destiny to cross the desert without losing its essence and identity. What does a clown do when he is depressed? Nothing Like Lear,directed by Rajat Kapoor,focuses on a clown who has been crying for days,has lost the love of his life,and realises that he is getting old. A part of the Old World Theatre Festival 2012,the play will be staged on October 18 at India Habitat Centre.

Chandigarh’s love affair with architect Le Corbusier continues. An exhibition at Alliance Française takes one to La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland,Corbusier’s birthplace. The cityscape of La Chaux-de-Fonds is characterised by a chessboard design that was created at the beginning of the 19th century after a catastrophic fire. Michael Greilsammer,an Israel-born violinist and singer-songwriter,had listeners impressed when he was barely five.
