Pune: The Sheru Classic,one of the top three professional bodybuilding championships in the world,will kick off at the Balewadi sports complex from Saturday. The main bodybuilding competition will be held on Sunday in the badminton hall of the Balewadi sports complex.

Pune Tennis Tournament starts today

Pune: The first edition of the Pune Tennis Tournament will be organised by the Navnath Shete Sports Academy and played at the ILS Law College tennis courts from October 26 to November 2. The tournament has been organised by Navnath Shete and Sangram Chaphekar.

Former MHA asst secy Mogre dies

Pune: Former Assistant Secretary of the Maharashtra Hockey Association (MHA),Narayan Mogre,died on Thursday after a prolonged illness. Mogre,86,was a teacher at the Bishops School,Camp,for 46 years. Mogre served as the Assistant Secretary of the MHA from 1989 to 1993. He was also the chairman of the umpires committee of the MHA. Mogre represented Maharashtra in a match in the Ranji Trophy at Cuttack. Mogres funeral was held at Salisbury Park on Friday. ENS
