Road Rage

One of the first things that parents reprimand their children is for the use of foul language. Perhaps as children,the anchors of MTV Roadies reality show series,Raghu Ram,Rannvijay Singh and Rajiv Lakshman, did not listen enough. On Friday,activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took matters into their own hands – when the trio were driving through Pune for a promotional rally,the activists stopped them and blackened their faces. In a statement,Shailendra Delvi,secretary,Pune ABVP,said that they did so because they used,“abusive language on national television”,and hence,“told them not to step foot in the cultural city of Pune.” However Rajiv Lakshman has denied being at the site of the incident and made light of the incident on Twitter,tweeting,“To all of u who’re worried,don’t be. Raghu & Rannvijay r fine. I wasn’t there with them at the time… I guess Roadies has become big enough for headline seekers to try gimmicks… don’t agree with their mob mentality or sneak attack. It’s easy 2 feel brave when u r in a big gang.”
