Chitrashi Rawat is everything you would expect if you met Komal Chauthala after a game. Bubbly, talkative and full of energy. I dont mind if people call me Komal or the Chak De! girl because thats what got me all this fame. I will slowly play a lot of characters and I hope I can make them as memorable as Komal, she says as we walk into Mega Mall,Andheri,envisioning a day of shopping. But what immediately catches the attention of 19-year-old Rawat is the gaming zone,Jammin.
I love playing every game,even if its virtual, she says before she rushes to the mini basketball court. During Chak De! I would actually play on the sets and surprise everyone because they didnt know I was such a good player, she says before dunking the perfect shot into the basket.
Life has been quite a whirlwind after the success of Chak De! and it took a while for Rawat to realise she actually loved acting. She then quickly packed her bags and moved to Mumbai from her hometown Dehra Dun and was immediately inundated with film,TV and ad offers. I didnt want to do a TV serial because it would mean so much time shooting and I would have to stay in the city all the time. I love travelling and being part of films allows me to do that, she pants after winning the exhausting bike race. Rawat then went on to be part of Madhur Bhandarkars Fashion and will soon be seen playing a major role in Luck by Soham Shah.
When I was shooting for Luck in South Africa,we had a scene when we all had to shoot targets with a gun. Training for that was the most fun, she says with a sudden jump and obviously rushes for the shooting game.
