Pune: In a written reply to the matter of continuing with its old training practices,the NDA said,Training at NDA is an ever evolving process with content reviews being carried out at regular intervals based on internal and external audits. The external audit is also carried out annually by a team from HQIDS and once in 5 yrs by a Joint Services team. The existing physical training syllabus has been implemented from September. Adequate time has been dovetailed into the training schedule of the cadets for rest and recuperation during daily training.
Mane road rage case verdict today
Judgment in the Santosh Mane rampage case will be delivered on Wednesday at the District and Sessions Court,Pune. Additional sessions judge V K Shewale will pronounce the verdict in the sensational case,in which a state transport driver had hijacked a bus and gone on a rampage for over an hour that led to the death of nine persons and 27 being injured. The case lasted less than a year. Mane was arrested by the Swargate Police from the crime scene. The police investigated and filed a chargesheet,following which a trial commenced in the sessions court. Statement of 39 prosecution witnesses and two defence witnesses was recorded. Ujjwala Pawar is the public prosecutor in the case,while Mane is being defended by advocate Dhananjay Mane who is being assisted by advocate Rishikesh Ganu and advocate Jaideep Mane.
