Chances of rain as cloud cover forms over Pune

Light to very light showers may offer some relief to Punekars on Saturday as a large cloud cover persists over the city and its neighbouring regions. The maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius while minimum temperatures could drop to 18 degrees Celsius.

Late on Friday evening a large cloud cover had developed over Pune and moved slowly over the north east region of the city. This cloud cover gave some respite amid the scorching heat.

After thunder and lightning on Friday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Pune.

As per the IMD’s advisory, Pune residents have been urged against stepping out on Saturday afternoon. Earlier this week Pune had seen multiple incidents of trees falling and water logged roads due to an intense spell of rain. Rainfall is expected to light to remain very light on Saturday.
