Power-cut in city for over five hours

On Tuesday,part of the city remained without power supply from afternoon due to a technical snag in the high tension cable from Phursungi station to Mundhwa station.

The disturbance in the high tension cable led to power cut at four substations — Rasta Peth,Alankar,St Mary’s and Bhairoba Nallah — from 4 pm onwards.

The areas that were affected include Nana Peth,Ganesh Peth,Ambedkar Road,Police Line,Golibar Maidan,Solapur Road,Modikhana,Ghorpadi,Fatimanagar,Mundhwa Road and NIBM road.

The power supply was restored around 9.30 pm.
