An SC bench of Justices B R Gavai and A G Masih had granted bail to the minor’s mother on Tuesday.
Arguments were held before a special court in Pune on her bail conditions. Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hiray argued that she should be asked to stay beyond the limits of Pune district. Hiray also argued that she should be given directions to not share any of her images and videos on social media or any other platform.
After hearing the arguments, the court framed the bail conditions that the accused should furnish a PR Bond of Rs 1 lakh with one or two sureties in the like amount.
The accused should deposit her passport with the investigating officer and not leave India without prior permission. The court said, she should not disclose her identity, in any manner, for next three months. It said she must always keep her mobile location on and be present at the concerned police station and report to the investigation officer every Wednesday between 11 am and 1 pm till July 30, 2025.
The accused should not tamper with the prosecution evidence and witnesses in any manner and that she must furnish her address proof as well as that of her two closest relatives along with their mobile numbers. The court stated that since the accused is a woman, who has to take care of her two children and aged in-laws, imposing a condition of asking her to stay out of Pune district would not be in the interest of justice.
