Pimpri-Chinchwad breaks Guinness world record

This time the ‘River Cyclothon Team’ recorded the ‘Longest Line of Bicycles Static’ in the Guinness Book of World Records.

More than 30,000 cyclists participated in the ‘River Cyclothon-2023’ organised to spread the message of cleanliness and conservation of the Indrayani river.

This time the ‘River Cyclothon Team’ recorded the ‘Longest Line of Bicycles Static’ in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Sixty countries attempted to break Germany’s record. However, India broke this record.

‘Indrayani River Cyclothon’ is organised every year after the launch of the concept by MLA Mahesh Landge. This is the sixth year of this initiative aimed to spread the message that the rivers should be kept clean and free from pollution.

Avirat Shramdan, Cycle Mitra, Mahesh Dada Sports Foundation, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipality, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Department and other organisations took part in the initiative.

Muncipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh appreciated citizens who participated in large numbers in river cleaning drives early in the morning.
