Permanent task force to tackle malnutrition, Says Devendra Fadnavis

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Thursday said a permanent task force of a Group of Ministers will be set up to address the problem of malnutrition. Taking serious note of the malnutrition death in Palghar district, he said, “The solution to the problems of malnutrition will not be confined to Palghar alone but across the state.”

Fadnavis made the announcement after a review meeting of the Thane revenue division where various policies and schemes related to public welfare were discussed.

He reiterated the government’s plans to provide homes to all Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe citizens by the year 2019, and urged officials to work towards completing the projects within the stipulated time.
