‘New syllabus textbooks will be available before June’

With the new syllabus for class IX and X beginning from 2010-11 and 2011-12 respectively,textbooks of the upgraded syllabus for Marathi and English medium will be made available by Maharashtra Text Book Bureau Balbharati before June,said a press note from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

It also said that books for the remaining mediums will be made available at the earliest. “Other than textbooks,practical books and question paper sets are also being made available for sale,” the press note said.

A copy of this syllabus (English and Marathi medium) is being sent to all secondary schools through the divisional offices of the Board. A circular in this respect and the syllabus is also available on msbshse.ac.in

The state government has given its nod to the upgraded syllabus of science and maths (Algebra and geometry) this year.
