New defence accounts office opened

Nita Kapoor,Controller General Defence Accounts (CGDA) inaugurated the new defence accounts office complex in Pashan on Wednesday. The office of the Joint Controller of Defence Accounts (R&D) at Pashan,set up in 1986,provides audit and financial cover to the DRDO laboratories in and around Pune,including labs in Ahmednagar and Ambernath. Full fledged automation of the office,placement of server,introduction of Tatkal schemes and e-payments were some of the facilities added over the years. “These activities necessitated a proper and well-equipped EDP centre in addition to recreational facilities and work sections for officers and staff,” said a release from DRDO
