Persistent Systems on Wednesday announced that they have won the NASSCOM Innovation award for 2008,in the market facing – business process and business model category. NASSCOM has recognised Persistents innovative mobile strategy,developed for Bridgestone,Europe leading tyre manufacturer.
Persistents three main innovation focus areas include platform,product engineering and domain specific innovation.
Speaking on this announcement Anand Deshpande,chairman and managing director,Persistent Systems,said, As an OPD specialist,I believe that innovation is an integral part of the business model. It is only through innovation that we can co-create value for our customers,which further helps them in creating value through their services. I am honoured that NASSCOM has recognized our innovation. The award would be presented to Persistent at the NASSCOM 2009 – India Leadership Forum,to be held in Mumbai on February 11to13. The NASSCOM Innovation Awards,2008,an annual event is currently in its fifth edition and is a key initiative by NASSCOM to highlight the true innovators in the Indian IT industry.
