A 32-year-old technician with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) was found dead with multiple wounds from a sharp weapon in Pune on Monday afternoon, the police said.

The deceased, identified as Gopal Kailas Mandave (32), was found dead at around 2.30 pm in the Raykar Mala area of Dhayari by some locals who subsequently informed the police.

“Initial probe points to this being a case of murder. The deceased has injuries on the wrist, neck and chest inflicted with a sharp weapon. The deceased worked as a senior technician with MSEDCL. We have launched a probe based on the clues available,” an officer from Sinhagad Road police station said.
