Municipal Commissioner Mahesh Pathak said their door-to-door survey has revealed indoor breeding sites. The survey is part of the Zero Mosquito project. Mosquitoes causing dengue breed in fresh water in homes stired for more than five days. People have been asked to ensure water in trays behind refrigerators and water placed for some varieties of indoor potted plants are removed every three days. Water storage tanks need to be airtight. If there is fever,the nearest doctor should be contacted and the patient should take paracetamol,Pathak has said. Leave of health staff has been cancelled and they will be in the field even on holidays,Pathak told Newsline.
