Mishap at Indrayani river: No headway

Fire brigade,NDRF and police could not trace the four-wheeler that had fallen into the Indrayani river from the New Alandi bridge Tuesday afternoon. Police said rescue teams faced hurdles as the water level in the river had

increased due to heavy rains Wednesday. Rescue operation was stopped Tuesday night,resumed Wednesday. NDRF teams and fire brigade conducted searches in the river and surrounding areas,but neither the vehicle nor the persons could be traced,police said.

RWITC to move strangles-hit horses to Mumbai

PUNE: Two horses in Pune Race Course that have been identified with strangles will be shifted to Mumbai as Pune does not have an isolation facility,RWITC committee member and former chairman Vivek Jain said.
