The police have called a meeting of bank managers and security officers on Friday to discuss security measures required at ATM kiosks. The meeting has been called in the backdrop of the attack on a 44-year-old woman at an ATM kiosk in Bangalore on Tuesday. DCP Sanjay Shinde (cyber crime and economic offences wing) said the Pune police had taken note of the issue and it was discussed during the meeting of senior officers. The meeting of bank managers will be held at the Shivajinagar police headquarters, he said.
CoEP student attempts suicide after exam
PUNE: A student of the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison on Thursday. The Shivajinagar police said the third-year student consumed rat poison at his hostel room after an exam. Friends and college authorities took him to a hospital. His condition is stable now.
