From Kashmir’s murgh wazwan and gosht roganjosh to southern India’s chicken chettinad and Hyderabadi biryanis. Prawn caldeen and Manglorean prawn gassi from the Western stores to Bengal’s kosha murghi,not to forget some great classics from the Awadhi kitchens of Central India like murgh nawabi,murgh ka salan and a wide variety of kebabs. All of this and more will be available at the restaurant.

Fishy Tales

Oh! Calcutta,the restaurant on Dhole Patil Road which specialises in Bengali cuisine,is hosting a River Water Hilsa Festival on their premises till the end of the month. Amongst others,the restaurant will offer a wide variety of dishes comprising boneless versions of the river water fish popular in Bengal. The festival is open for lunch and dinner everyday.

Shravan to the core

Rasoi the multi-speciality restaurant that is located in Shivajinagar is hosting a Shravan food festival till August 12. Concentrating primarily on dishes that are made during Shravan,the festival will see a wide array of chaats,biryanis,soups on the menu for everyone who observes the Hindu festival. Amongst others it will also feature desserts such as jalebis and rabdis. The festival is on till August 12.

Independent thoughts

Rajdhani,the thali restaurant,in Shivajinagar is hosting the tri-colour festival till Independence Day,August 15. Amongst the many dishes available patrons can choose from the tiranga pattice,tiranga dhokla and halwa. Another item that the place recommends is the triclour malai sandwich.

Vegan magic

Malaka Spice,the multi-cuisine restaurant in Koregaon Park has come up with a new vegan menu. Devoid of any and all animal products some of the dishes that one can savour include Shravan Soya,Gulin Chilli Rings,Mun Tot,Cucumber Sailboats. Main course items include Mapo Doufu,Root Spiritual,Jalapeno Fried Rice,Chap Che Noodle and Crispy Qi Noodles. Dessert Specials are Vegan Choco Tart and Fruit Ramekin.

Flavours of festivals

A triple show at Vivanta by Taj Blue Diamond,will see a special Independence day brunch at Latitude till August 19. The Independence weekend offers special deals for all senior citizens. Latitude will also celebrate Navroze recipes on August 18 and 19 for dinner. Called the Latitudewala Buffet,dishes like Dhansak,Patra –ni- Machi and Chicken Farcha will be available. In the build up to Eid,their Indian restaurant Mystic Masala will have a buffet featuring a range of biryanis,kebabs,paya and Sheer korma till August 26.
