Food mélange
Asian Melange,a fine dining and multi-cuisine restaurant in Kothrud is playing host to a barbeque festival from April 25 to May 25. Foodies can sample everything from mocktails,oriental starters and soup to barbeque specialties on a live barbeque on its terrace. Each table is fitted with its own personal mini barbeque which allows the guest to have hot barbeque preparations. Among the lip-smacking preparations on offer here are Shahi Khazana (assorted barbeque available in chicken,mutton,seafood& vegetarian),Melange Khazana (an assortment of starters from tandoor,Indian,oriental& costal cuisines,available in chicken,mutton,seafood& vegetarian),Murg miramshah (chicken Brest stuffed with mutton kheema & barbequed) and Angarwala murg (Spicy barbequed chicken flambé). For seafood lovers,there’s Charcoal grilled seafood ( seafood marinated in Indian spices grilled to perfection,available in pomfret,king fish,prawns& rawas) and Kundapuri fried fish (steamed fish dipped in traditional seasoned spicy paste and sautéed).

Latino delight
Let the strains of live salsa and rock music engulf you while you dine at Zara,The Tapas bar and Restaurant,as Obsession Latina,the Columbian Band is on its maiden visit to India and promises to take you on a Spanish escapade this entire month,when they will be playing some of the most famous compositions from Spain,Mexico and Colombia. The band will be playing at Zara till May 15,where the menu has been synchronized to further accentuate the Spanish palate. The chef’s recommendations are Gambas al ajillo (prawns in garlic & white wine),Tortilla de patatas(Spanish omelette),Queso Fritto (cheese fritters),Xampinyones al ajillo con vino tinto (mushrooms in garlic & red wine) and Croquetas de Espinacas (spinach croquettes). Along with the tapas menu there is a wide selection of main courses (fillers) as well as a dessert and liquor laced coffee menu for a complete Spanish experience.
