PDCA beat Satara DCA by an innings and 96 runs in the MCA U-14 invitational league tournament being held at the Cadence ground on Friday.
PDCA batted first and scored a total of 281 in 78 overs. Kunal Korad and Pranav Thorat top-scored with 64 runs each while Shubhankar Gokhale gave them good support with a well-made 42. Varad Patil and Shubham Jadhav were the main bowlers for Satara,picking up a couple of wickets each.
In reply Satara DCA were dismissed for just 98 runs in 46 overs.
Shiven Gosavi top- scored with 20 while Ajinkya Ambike was the pick of the bowlers,picking up 4 wickets for 23 runs.
Shubhankar Gokhale supported him well with a couple of wickets of his own. Satara were made to follow on and managed to score only 87 runs before being bundled out,thus losing by an innings and 96 runs.
Akshay Bhilare top -cored with 23 runs while Ajinkya Ambike and Hrushikesh Shinde did the damage in bowling department picking up three wickets each.
