City BJP chief Vikas Mathkari on Wednesday said that he would not contest the civic polls this time and would concentrate on campaigning for the alliance.
After finalising the seatsharing deal with Shiv Sena,city BJP chief on Wednesday declared that it has so far
offered eight of its 89 seats
for Pune Municipal
Corporation (PMC) elections.
The RPI had demanded a total of 25 seats in PMC. The BJP has agreed to give eight seats while the Sena has agreed on seven seats so far. The discussions are still on, said Mathkari.
He said the alliance would come up with a common mainfesto for the civic polls and would together plan rallies and campaigns across the city.
