Man distributes garbage bins without PMC permission,held

The police arrested a Congress party worker for breaking into Savitri Bai Phule Hall and distributing the garbage bins stored there without getting permission of the Pune Municipal Corporation.

The police arrested a Congress party worker for breaking into Savitri Bai Phule Hall and distributing the garbage bins stored there without getting permission of the Pune Municipal Corporation official responsible for bin distribution on Sunday.

The accused,Sanjay Jaywant Dhole,40,is a resident of Janwadi and a close aide of former Congress corporator Nitin Jagtap,said the PMC official.

Suhas Shinde,a health Inspector at the Ghole Road ward office of the PMC had filed a complaint with Chatuhshrungi police station on Sunday. He alleged that Dhole and two accomplices Lata Gaikwad and Girajabai Gawali opened the storage room at Savitri Bai Phule with a duplicate key and distributed the garbage bins to people gathered there on Sunday. “I reached the spot after receiving information from my senior officer Vijay Landage that a fight had broken out in ward no. 33,” said Shinde. “Over 200 people had gathered at Savitri Bai Phule Hall and the accused was distributing the waste bins among the crowd. No PMC representative was present at the spot. The waste bins are usually distributed by the PMC workers.

Chatuhshrungi police arrested Dhole after an FIR under IPC Sections 380 and 34 was registered against him,said inspector M N Chavan.
