Dabbling in arts and it’s finer details, the artist is a lone warrior on a trip of imagination. Breaking this very mould are a group of professionals from diverse fields. They are coming together to display a peak into their world. Called ‘Endevaour’,the exhibition is a first for these artists who will be displaying their creations at Balgandharva Art Gallery from March 3 to 5,between 10 am and 7.30 pm. What also puts it in a different light,is the mixture of mediums, with a diverse and striking collection of paintings, digital art and photographs.
Shares Shubha Nafrey,an accountant, who is going to display her photographs at the exhibition,I like to try my hand at various aspects of photography, taking macro shots of nature’s beauty, highlighting various architectural monuments,or even experimenting with digital art. Various trips to different parts of the world have helped me in this field. I have also recently tried my hand at a particular application where I can digitally turn my photograph into a hand painted image. Apart from this,Nafrey also writes poetry based on her photographs. Ready to display her collection,Dipti Desai, who is a dentist, spends most of her time painting, when she is not preoccupied with toothy matters. After a recent interest in digital art and animation and a diploma in graphic design and animation, she is ready to get her art out of the woodwork.
Also a part of the event is Anil Nene, who has worked as an architect since last 25 years. His collection at the display is called ‘Dew Drops’. Inspired by artists like Ravi Paranjape and Milind Mulick among others,Nene feels that this is a good platform for beginners. I must say that this comes across as an very good opportunity. I pursue art as a hobby, and through something like this we get a chance to spend more time at it.
