Advocate Shrikant Malegaonkar,the newly elected president of Labour Law Practitioners’ Association (LLPA),Pune plans to introduce a certificate course in labour laws for junior HR managers and junior advocates during his tenure. “It would be a capsule course of one or two weeks that will educate the participants about labour and industrial laws,” he said.
Malegaonkar along with Avinash Satpute (vice president),Vijay Raje (secretary) and Pramod Galinde (treasurer) were elected in the 47 th annual elections of the LLPA held on Friday.
Other than the course,Malegaonkar will also strive for collaboration with parallel organisations in the US and Canada.
“As an immediate project,we plan to have a web page that will not only give information about LLPA and its activities,but will also have information about labour laws,latest amendments and so on,” he said.
The portal will also contain am e-newsletter that will have articles on the industrial scenario in Pune,labour issues and so on.
“We have already started finalising the logistics and the website will be ready in a month,” Malegaonkar said. Malegaonkar took over from R N Nirmal. While the new office bearers have already taken charge,the five committee members of LLPA will be decided next week,Raje said.
