IUCAA organises competitions for rural students

As part of its ongoing rural outreach programme,the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) recently held drawing,essay and quiz competitions for rural students. Students of Vidya Vikas Mandir won prizes in all the three events. Chinmay Mandale,Sahil Inamdar and Rutwik Khandeshe of New English School,Landewadi won the first prize in quiz competition followed by Shubham Hinge,Aniket Chavan and Triveni Shinde of Vidya Vikas Mandir.

In the essay competition,Amruta Kokane of Sant Dnyaneshwar Vidyalaya stood first,while Shubham Hinge of Vidya Vikas Mandir stood second. Nishighandha Shete bagged the first prize in drawing competition and Pallavi Sutar came second.
