IT cricket tournament from Nov 20

The eighth edition of the Inter-Information Technology Cricket Championship Trophy Clash Of 24 IT 2011,organised by the Maharashtra Krida,will kick off on November 20.

All the matches will be played on AFK stadium in Khadki,said a press release

The first Inter-IT Championship Trophy was organised in 2003-04 ,in which HDFC Bank emerged champions.

In 20042005,Kanbay took the title. In 20052006,the championship title was taken by IBM while in the year 20062007 Idea Cellular became the Champions.

In the 2007-08,Infosys lifted the title while in 2008 2009 Tech Mahindra won the title. This year,Talent Bricks are the defending champions.

Some of the organisations that have confirmed their participation in the tournament are: Tikona Digital Networks ,KPIT Cummins Infosystems ,Siemens,Soft Hard Automation,PTC Software,IBM,Symantec Corporation,Barclays Technologies,Tech Mahindra,Tata Consultancy Services ,ClearPoint Learning,Imagination Technologies,MindTree ,Hitachi Consulting,Infosys Technologies,Wipro Technologies and Cisco Systems,the release said.

The winning team will be awarded Rs 25,000 and a trophy,while the runners-up will get Rs 10,000 and a trophy.

The man of the series will be awarded Rs 5000 in cash and a memento and the highest run-getter,wicket-taker and best wicket-keeper in the tournament will each take home a memento.
