Inter-pharma cricket: Venky’s scrape past Hadapsar Medicos

Mayur Kalate Pharmacy,Sujanil,Venky’s and Purely Chemists Forum made the semifinal line up after the league round of the Licel T20 inter pharma cup ended here at the Katariya High School ground on Wednesday.

In the match played today,Venky’s beat Hadapsar medicos by a narrow margin of 2 runs to enter the semis. Hadapsar medicos won the toss and put the opposition in. Venkys took advantage of a good batting wicket and posted a decent score of 149 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Rohit Gund top scored with 46 runs of just 35 balls which included 8 hits to the fence. Sandesh Nalawade supported him well with a decent kock of 35 runs off just 24 balls. The second wicket partnership of 63 runs in 38 balls between Ashish Khaladkar and Sandesh Nalawade gave their side a good start. But the 4 th wicket partnership of 58 between Rohit Gund and Vikas Ghule helped the team on to a good total. In reply,Hadapsar fell short of their target by just two runs. Jagdish Rane top scored with 42 runs of 35 balls which included 6 hits to the fence. Tanaji Hambir supported him well with 27 runs of his own,but both their efforts were not enough as Hadapsar team fell agonizingly short of their target.
