Inter-Corporate Volleyball Championship

The Maharashtra Krida has been organising a number of inter-corporate sports tournaments all round the year. The third edition of the Inter-Corporate Volleyball Championship 2010 will kick off this month and will feature 10 corporate teams from around the city,including Wipro,Capgemini,Cognizant and Infosys. The teams have been divided into two groups and will follow the round robin format,with each team playing four matches in the league stage. A win is worth three points,while a draw will see each team get a single point. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals. The tournament also features a prize for ‘Most Disciplined Team’,in an effort to promote propriety and sporting spirit amongst the participants,a press note said.
