The wedding of Esha Deol,daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini,to businessman Bharat Takhtani on Friday morning at ISKCON temple in Mumbai was an intimate affair with family and close friends. With the mahurat being between 9.30am and 10.30am,the guests turned up early,in elegant Indianwear,at the temple to be received by Dharmendra,father of the bride. Some of Bollywood’s famous film personalities — Rani Mukherji with mother Krishna,Kavita and Vinod Khanna,Dilip Kumar,Vijayanthimala,Nita and Kokilaben Ambani and Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan — attended the wedding. The bride opted for a traditional red and gold lehenga designed by Neeta Lulla whereas Bharat dressed in a white and gold sherwani. Hema Malini wore a Kanjeevaram sari. After the wedding rituals,the bride and the groom returned to Hema Malini’s Juhu bungalow for the bidaai ceremony in the evening.
