Two unknown persons robbed two students at gunpoint on the Chatuhshringi Tekdi on Wednesday evening. Suraj Santosh Dargude (22),a resident at the hostel of University of Pune,has lodged a police complaint in this case. According to the police,Suraj had gone to the Chatuhshringi tekdi with his friend on Wednesday evening. They were chitchatting at the tekdi when two robbers pointed a gun on them. The robbers snatched their mobile phones and cash,totally worth Rs 23,000 and fled the spot. Police sub-inspector Kolhe of the Chatuhshringi police station is investigating the case.

Rs 1.6 lakh robbed
IN an instance of robbery in broad daylight,two unidentified persons hurled chilli powder in the eyes of 50-year-old Baban Krishna Khandale and robbed his bag containing Rs 1.62 lakh in cash near Talera Garden at Market Yard,on Tuesday afternoon. Khandale has lodged a complaint at the Swargate police station.
Police said Khandale is a resident of Sangola in Solapur district. He had come to Pune with the cash collected at the toll post in Pandharpur.
Around 3.50 pm,he was walking towards the office of Ashoka Group,when two persons came in a van from behind.
One of them hurled chilli powder in Khandale’s eyes. He then thrashed Khandale and snatched the bag from him. The duo then escaped,police said.
