In 2011,four dates will have just ones; nothing special,say experts

Most years have a unique number date but it’s not very often that a year would have four such dates. So while 2010 boasted of having a date with all 10s,10-10-10,2011 is going to bring with it four dates that have all ones in them: 1-1-11,11-1-11,1-11-11 and 11-11-11! Coming once in a hundred years the dates have spawned discussion on their significance among city pundits.

“The most significant aspect of these four days is the fact that the number 11 is associated with them,” says city-based numerologist Supriya Bhosale. “In numerology,the number 11 is called a master number. These days would usually represent the extremes — either the very good or the very bad. Since the number 1 is associated with the Sun,the repetition of the number twice,signifies twice the amount of the energy that is in store for the days. This is a general perception. On an individual level,it would vary from person to person,” says Bhosale.

While the phenomenon occurs once in 100 years,astrologer Sanjay Kelkar says the four days are normal ones and hold no significance as far as astrological specifications are concerned.

An interesting research about the numbers 11 and 1 both for astrology and numerology is that while 11 possesses the qualities of patience,honesty,sensitivity,and spirituality,it also represents evil sins and transgression. The number 1 is a representative of singleness,unity and agreement in purpose and action.

“On the whole these four days will represent an extremity of thoughts and emotions. The four days signify master vibrations and will eventually influence decisions that people take on these days,” says Aditi Misshra,another city-based numerologist.

Kelkar says,“It’s an era of marketing so astrologers and people who feel they can cash in on it would try and promote them as being special.”
