Ankur Tewari,front man of Hindi pop-rock band Ankur and The Ghalat Family,and Sidd Cuotto of Mumbai-based band Tough on Tobacco,will bring to the city a unique collaboration of their music spiced up with comical jams and impromptu humour.

Ankur Tewari,front man of Hindi pop-rock band Ankur and The Ghalat Family,and Sidd Cuotto of Mumbai-based band Tough on Tobacco,will bring to the city a unique collaboration of their music spiced up with comical jams and impromptu humour. The duo will perform at High Spirits,Koregaon Park,on Sunday,2.30pm onwards. Cuotto,whose band’s second album Big Big Joke releases in May,has performed earlier at the Swig bar with Tewari.

Tilting Art gallery is hosting an exhibition of works by upcoming artists in the city based on the theme of “summer art”. The paintings are a combination of figurative and abstract art forms and will be on display till Sunday. Among those exhibiting their works are Balu Abhang,Suvarana Sable,Gauri Seth,Shola Carletti and Sunil Mestry. In line with the theme,the artists have used bright colours to depict the season’s mood. The gallery is open from 11 am to 7:30 pm.

Calling for Encore

“Pune has never been hotter,” said Vishal Dadlani,frontman of Pentagram as he took to the stage along with his bandmates for a gig on Friday. The band got the audience grooving and singing along to its songs from their album Bloodywood. Their visarjan-themed song Tomorrow’s decided and Mental zero called for an encore. The performance culminated with the song Nocturne,for which they have also released a video recently.
