Tabbasum Mohammad Rashid Mulla,a five-year-old from Kodhwa,has suffered 50 per cent burns due to a domestic accident at her residence. Currently,she is under treatment at Sai Shree Hospital in Aundh. The financial background of her family is weak and thus seeks help. Sai Shree Hospital has already offered the child concessions,but approximate expenses for her treatment are Rs 70,000. Those willing to help should draw a cheque in the name of Sai Seva Charitable Trust. All donations are income tax exempt under section 80G. Surgery scheme

Sahyadri Speciality Hospital,Deccan and Satara Zilla Parishad,have undertaken an initiative to treat underprivileged children suffering from heart ailments at subsidised rates. Eight critical open-heart surgeries have been performed so far on children of age six and lower. Parents of the children are being provided free food,accomodation and travel. Ram Raje Nimbalkar,guardian minister of Satara district,and Shyam Deshpande,CEO of Satara Zilla Parishad,paid a visit to the hospital recently. A team of renowned cardiac surgeons and cardiologists like Dr Sunil Sathe,Dr Milind Gadkari,Dr Sandeep Tadas,Dr Manoj Durairaj and Dr Nityanand Thakur have performed these surgeries. The scheme will run till September,with 150 such surgeries planned.
