The anniversary bash of Kue Bar at The Westin on Friday witnessed a special showcase of Satya Paul’s Spring-Summer collection of flowing gowns and chic dresses in georgettes, chiffons and satins. The first sequence was dominated by warm shades of reds with a dash of orange and pale pink. Models walked the ramp in flamboyant floor length gowns with bold backless patterns, thigh high slits and plunging necklines, oozing with oomph and panache. A stunner was the blood red alterneck gown,to be worn with lots of attitude to carry off a high and wide mid slit, which almost gives the illusion of the outift being a micro mini. The second sequence was based on various shades of grey in contrast to lively shades of blue, green and orange in floral prints. Alterneck kaftan-based gowns and neat knee-lengths were showcased. No accessories, except a basic pair of ear studs were used by the models to emphasize the fuss-free look of this segment.
