Simran Sahasrabuddhe, who completed 18 years on June 15,2009,is all excited and has planned her Tuesday. She would wake up early in the morning and try and be the first person to vote in her area.

Simran,a first year student of College of Engineering,Pune, registered her name in the voters’ list in June. She will be voting at Kothrud constituency. “It will be an amazing experience. I am so excited about it that I am planning to reach the polling booth at 7 am and cast my vote,” she said.

Simran is following the election campaign curiously. “I don’t know much of it,but it is interesting to listen to the promises. I am excited that I have to take a decision on my own about choosing candidate of my choice,” she said.

Like Simran, there are several first time voters excited and keen to cast their votes.

Shaunak Anturkar,a student of first year mechanical engineering in Modern College of Engineering, registered his name in the voters’ list in May this year. “I am strictly following the election campaign to vote for a right candidate. Even as my unit tests are going on and I have to study,I won’t let my voting right go waste. The first work I will do on Tuesday will be voting,” he said.
