A fire broke out at three workshops located at Barangane Mala in the Wadgaon Dhayari area Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Soon, multiple teams of the Pune Fire Brigade and the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) were pressed into service. Five fire tenders and three water tankers were used to bring the flames under control.
Fire officials said of the three workshops that caught fire, one housed “panipuri making material”, the other two had batteries and machine spare parts.
The firemen extinguished the flames around 2 pm. Then the cooling operation started.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known. No casualties were reported in the incident as the workshops were closed and the workers were not present due to the Ganesh festival, said fire brigade officials.
