Faith Turns Eco-Friendly

Ushering in the Ganesh festival,Indiaart and Yugpath are organising an exhibition of eco-friendly Ganesh idols,paintings and sculptures.

Ushering in the Ganesh festival,Indiaart and Yugpath are organising an exhibition of eco-friendly Ganesh idols,paintings and sculptures. To be held at the Balgandharva Kaladan today and tomorrow,the exhibition will be on from 10 am to 7 pm. Of the main attractions on display will be over 150 eco-friendly Ganesh idols that have been made by artistes who participated in workshops organised by the Art India Foundation and Yugpath. The idols are handpainted and made from ‘Shadu’ clay. The paintings on display will be acrylic on canvas and watercolour on paper while the sculptures have been created using coconut shells.

Packing a Punch

Channel V’s new show,Humse Hai Liife,tells the story of a young girl (Sia) trying to make her mark in the world of boxing. Taking this story of grit and determination further,the channel recently felicitated boxing champions MC Mary Kom,Vanlal Duati,Pinki Jangra and Neetu Chahal. They received a cash prize of R 2,00,000 for their unrelenting contribution to the sport. The show will air from September 5 and will feature Abigail Jain,Ankur Nayyar and Himansh Kohli in the lead roles.
