At 55, R. Madhavan continues to prove that age is just a number. The actor is currently enjoying the spotlight following his powerful performance in Aditya Dhar’s recently released film Dhurandhar. But beyond the big screen, Madhavan is also grabbing attention in real life, thanks to his latest stylish makeover.
Madhavan appears to be spending some quality time in Dubai, a detail revealed after a celebrity hairstylist shared pictures from the actor’s recent grooming session. The actor debuted a sharp new haircut, with his striking before-and-after transformation quickly doing the rounds on social media. Sporting a confident salt-and-pepper look, Madhavan exuded effortless charm in the newly shared pictures.
Celebrity hairstylist Danish Hanif, who worked on Madhavan’s look, shared the photos and wrote, “When simplicity meets class. Thank you R. Madhavan sir for trusting us with your look. Always an honour serving true elegance.”

The makeover wasn’t the only glimpse fans got of the actor’s off-screen moments. Madhavan’s wife, Sarita Birje Madhavan, also shared a picture on her Instagram story with the caption, “Sunday morning spent well.” In the photo, the actor is seen sporting a casual biker-style look, dressed in a black riding jacket and dark sunglasses, giving off a relaxed yet rugged vibe. He is seated on a large touring motorcycle, with Sarita standing beside him, joined by two more friends.

On the professional front, Dhurandhar—which features Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, the National Security Advisor of India, a character inspired by real-life NSA Ajit Doval—continues its phenomenal box-office run. As per the latest updates, the film is eyeing the ₹900 crore milestone at the Indian box office, while its global collections have crossed ₹1,328 crore. By Day 45 of its release, Dhurandhar has amassed an India net collection of ₹879.75 crore.
Earlier, Madhavan spoke candidly about the film’s success and impact. In a Hindi interview with News Nation TV, the actor revealed that from the moment he heard the script, he knew Dhurandhar had the potential to be a game-changer, especially in sparking conversations around national and social themes. While acknowledging the debates surrounding the film’s political undertones, Madhavan stressed that differing opinions are natural, but nothing should be placed above the nation. Reflecting on his journey at 55, the actor added that Dhurandhar represents the kind of boundary-pushing cinema he now wishes to be a part of.
