Celebrating victory
Though the elections were held for the academic bodies such as senate academic council of the UoP,scene at the varsity campus was like a political campaign. Elected members and their supporters celebrated the victory by bursting crackers and colouring the faces with gulal. Many officers on the campus expressed disappointment over the scene.

“The elected members are principals and heads of managements of the institutes. It was unfortunate that they behaved like politicians even as they belong to teachingprofession,” said a senior officer of academic section of the UoP.
